a demonstration

Vicki will talk through the UNDONE Floral Philosophy that underlies her floral design style- and describe in detail her creative process as she chooses flower varieties and colour palette- and then creates her Autumnal garden style bouquet. Learn about how different flower varieties play different roles in an arrangement- and how to be inspired by the way flowers grow in nature in order to give your bouqeut a naturally arranged feel…

Afternoon WORKSHOP :

Hand Tied A UTUMNAL BOUQUETS…

Now you will get to choose your flowers to create your own hand tied bouquet. Be inspired by the bounty provided by local growers, along with the autumnal branch and grasses, fallen fruits etc that we have foraged. Day 3- Morning VISIT:

Local Flower Farm

Visit our lovely local flower farm, Nourish Gardens.

Flower farmer Christy Ralphs will talk about growing a cut flower garden- sharing tips on best seasonal varieties, planting, cutting and flower conditioning.

Then we will be free to gather a bucket overflowing with our choice of lovely summer floral bounty.

Day 3- Morning WORKSHOP 1:

Autumnal URN Demonstration

with Vicki Roycroft

Vicki will create an abundant, naturally arranged, overflowing URN arrangement, with floral bounty from the flower farm- and foraged autumn branch and gathered fallen fruit

She will talk to you about her inspiration and creative process…. about how she likes to place the flowers in a vessel as if they were growing in a garden or a meadow- and how she creates assigning different varieties of flowers different roles in the arrangement, adding layer upon layer… building up the floral arrangement as she would build a watercolour painting, with layer upon layer of paint.

Day 3- Morning WORKSHOP 2:

Arranging flowers in VESSELS: Autumnal TABLE FLOWERS and URNS

Vicki will talk to you about using the same layering technique in smaller vessels… then you will use the flowers picked at the flower farm to create your own individual table vessel. With left over blooms you will work with the group to make one or two larger URN arrangements.

These smaller and larger vessels will be used to decorate the room for out Final Autumnal Feast.

Day 3- Afternoon:

Having adorned the room with all our floral creations we will get together for a final long lunch…. our Farewell AUTUMNAL Feast!
