Primavera Workshop

Umbria ITALY June 2023

We stayed in a beautiful seventeenth century honey-coloured stone mansion, the Villa Clementini, in southern Umbria- looking out over sun-bleached rolling meadows and ancient hill top towns. Our guest tutor was the lovely and talented LUCY THE FLOWER HUNTER- author, botanical stylist, gardener, and photographer. Amongst all the delights of our surroundings, the loveliest group of guests- and great Italian food and wines- we had a lot of fun creating floral arrangements and installations- as well as painting watercolours and experimenting with new photography skills. An absolute highlight was our return road trip to pick buckets of flowers at Puscina Flower Farm in Tuscany- and the exquisite Urn arrangement demonstration there by Lucy- against a backdrop of Tuscan thunder and lightning…. never to be forgotten!
